and fear-driven fantasies, the exaggerated masculinity and frozen femininity
caused by wholesale sexual repression?

Why should millions
of genuinely nice, decent and friendly Americans succumb to daily
pressures forcing you into a never-ending escape into materialism
in fearful substitution for true self-expression and release?
Why live in permanent denial, behind the
massive psychological defences with which you hide your feelings
but which, in truth, only keep you emotionally-incarcerated, preventing
you from revealing yourselves to each other in a free, open and
honest manner?
Why allow yourselves to be assailed by an endless
succession of highly dubious, often downright-harmful relationship-book
writers, exploited by many ratings-driven, sensation-seeking Talk
Show hosts, and, worst of all, insidiously manipulated by a conveyor-belt
of mercenary, self-serving, book-plugging TV psychologists?
Quite simply, to use a good old American expression:
'Why tolerate any more of this bulls--t for one more second???'
